NOMINATIONS ROUND UP!!
Awards season is just around the corner & It's Blitz! and Karen O and The Kids' music for Where Wild Things Are are CLEANING UP nominations! The GRAMMYS have nominated It's Blitz! in the best alternative music category, and "All is Love" for best original song from a film. Going Hollywood, the GOLDEN GLOBES have nominated Karen O and Carter Burwell for best original score. Not to be outdone, the CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS have "All is Love" for best original song from a film, and Karen and Carter for best original score.

YYYs Heart Breeders and ESG
Thanks again to Breeders for sealing the deal on a magical eve at the Greek! As our buddy Dave's saying goes; it was a "golden grahams" kind of a night, not often that you get to play with your heroes. Speaking of which, we've got three letters for you: ESG. Their record A Bronx Tale was re-released right around the time YYYs were forming (danced to it in front of a mirror!) it was the single most influential record for us at the very start, even though we had no bass player! BANG off our first ep was an attempt to emulate the sassafrass and aloof cool of ESGs leading ladies, can't touch it! YYYs & ESG at RADIO CITY can't frigging wait. See you there!!
