YYYs Heart Breeders and ESG
Thanks again to Breeders for sealing the deal on a magical eve at the Greek! As our buddy Dave's saying goes; it was a "golden grahams" kind of a night, not often that you get to play with your heroes. Speaking of which, we've got three letters for you: ESG. Their record A Bronx Tale was re-released right around the time YYYs were forming (danced to it in front of a mirror!) it was the single most influential record for us at the very start, even though we had no bass player! BANG off our first ep was an attempt to emulate the sassafrass and aloof cool of ESGs leading ladies, can't touch it! YYYs & ESG at RADIO CITY can't frigging wait. See you there!!

So tough calling this one guys! There was much deliberation and many near misses! In the end it was a draw between Daniel's thrasheresque psychobilly logo and Anel's clean and clever portrait Y illustrations. Can't wait to rock'em out!
Thanks again to all the participants, we hope to showcase the submissions (it would be a crying shame not to!) on our brand spanking new website that is currently being developed. In the meantime you might see nods to your designs sprinkled here and there in our YYY universe!

Back when we started out at the turn of the century NYC was it, there was no greater accomplishment than playing live at a NYC nightclub. Well, we've played our fair share of nightclubs, junkyards, theatres across the boroughs since then but the point is Radio City is not just another show in the career of a New York band like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (self perceived underdogs for life) Yeah it'll be a night for the YYY history books, don't miss it!
