Hey there

Hey I just wanted to say it was great meeting you last night at the Green Mill. Erin was absolutely ecstatic and you really made her birthday a memorable one. We talked a little about me and Paul's band Unique Chique but I didn't have any CDs to give you so if you're bored on the bus and want to check out our myspace, its myspace.com/uniquechique I think that you'll actually like it, we are also all huge Sonic Youth fans and try to mesh pop melodies with avant garde arrangements. Anyways, thanks again, and good luck on tour!

reading problems

Hello i really enjoyed reading your stories at this blog... but you know what? is very hard to read it with that background!!! my eyes were melting! and it was sad, because i was having a good time... jeje me la cortó... After vegetarianism, sugar canes

Thank you for giving some of your time yesterday night. It was great meeting you, and the show was fabulous. Just makes me more eager to see you guys again. After the insightful talk we had, I came back on your website and read your post on your first time drink of sugar cane juice. When I read it, I couldn't help but smile. Living in Paris often retains me in a overwhelming busy urban context, but I sometimes get to go to this house we built in the middle of nowhere, between forests and farms, in China. You reminded me the feeling of cutting off sugar canes in the forest, bringing them back to home, and with a knife, cutting off the rough green skin to let the pale golden heart appear. Then, your description just took me back there, tasting this pure elixir. I hope that someday you'll be able to experience it again. And thanks for sharing. xx, Katherine

I thought your video was amazing . You seem like such a compassionate person. In a sense you're kinda like a white bob marley (minus the rasta plus some black.) You should write more in magazines on different subjects because I would love to read it. ps. YYYFanMan - ya sounding kinda creepy stalker-like

Thanx!!!

Dude, yr post on turning veggie managed to put into words something i've been struggling with for quite some time...having become a vegetarian at 14 and lasting into my mid20s, i stupidly went back and forth for the convenience of others for a time until recently at 32 put my foot down and made a final decision yet again.... it never ceases to amaze me that others seem to feel accused despite my acceptance of peoples individual decisions for themselves. I too find my moral decision is strongly supported by the health benefits which continually reveal themselves...anyway, sorry for my random rambling, but thanx again for putting into words something which reinforced a position i have so recently re-embraced, its good to know i'm not alone!!! PS. just got 'Its Blitz' offa itunes...badass, gonna see u guys @ oxegen in ireland in july...keep u da good work!!! :)

comment on your blog

Hi there, I just read your blog entry titled 'Live in It'. I tried to leave a comment there but was taken to another part of the site where your blog was nowhere to be seen. In any case, I want to congratulate you on going vegetarian however, I feel compelled to tell you there is little difference between going vegetarian and being omni. I encourage you to learn more about this interest you have in a compassionate lifestyle and would like to direct you to a few resources. Check out the vegan freak podcast and webpage. They are really entertaining to listen to and make some compelling points. For a more philosophical approach I recommend Gary Francione's writings. I've read a lot of animal advocacy literature and he presents solid and consistent points. His website/blog is a good place to start www.abolitionistapproach.com I've been vegan for a while and feel it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. From what you wrote in your blog I think you might feel the same way about it if you look into it. I went vegetarian after seeing the movie Earthlings and never looked back. After reading about the ethics behind this decision and why I felt compelled to go vegetarian, I decided going all the way was the best choice for me. well, I'm starting to ramble on here. I really just wanted to point out some additional resources of information for you. I hope all is well. Cheers, Courtney
